Located in the states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, Pantanal has a unique biodiversity where it is estimated that circulate almost 700 species of birds like the famous and endangered Blue Macaws, toucans, parakeets , white herons, storks, hummingbirds, parrots, hawks and carcaras. Among the mammals there are more than one hundred different species, the main ones being the jaguar, capybara, cubs, pampas deer, maned wolf, monkey, marsh deer, anteaters, crab-grass, tapir, laziness and coatis.

The Pantanal region also has more than 250 species of fish and dozens of reptiles and amphibians. The region is characterized by the transition between ecosystems and was voted the fourth best destination in the world for those who want to enjoy the wildlife by USA Today.

 Pantanal change of scenery every season, each one has its own characteristics, varying according to the presence or absence of rain. In the Water Season, part of  Pantanal gets flooded and is one of the most spectacular times to visit the region, when the waters are everywhere and many species of animals and plants are reproducing. The dry season is the best time for wildlife watching. The lack of rain shrinks ponds, revealing the plain and facilitating land transport. The fields begin to dry, offering vast areas for grazing, where the mammals seek food and water in the remaining puddles.

Whatever the season, activities abound to enjoy the beauty of the Pantanal. The best activities are is the horseriding through the swamps, boat or canoe trips, perfect for spotting alligators, capybaras, otters and some birds;photographic safaris in 4x4 cars or boats; hiking and fishing.
